Projects

The Future of Minority Studies National Research Project has generated a variety of collaborative and semi-autonomous projects involving different types of meetings—from formal conferences to informal discussion forums. It provides a model of collaborative intellectual work that is rare in the humanities, demonstrating that intellectual creativity and rigor can be enhanced by working with others, and that collaboration is often essential to sustained intellectual productivity.

FMS Projects (several of which are ongoing) include the following:

GIG (Global Identities Group)

How Do Identities Matter? A Mellon Foundation Graduate Research Workshop/RICSRE Faculty Network, Stanford University

Junior Scholars Caucus

The Minority Studies Reading Group, University of Wisconsin-Madison

Realist Pedagogy Group
